JOIN US!

Licensed mental health clinicians can volunteer to provide medication monitoring, psychotherapy, or case management consultations for as few as 2 clients (or as many as they want). Our volunteers say that they love their time here. There is little “paperwork”, and they get to work with motivated and engaged individuals. Typical volunteer hours are between 9-6pm, Monday through Thursday, but if you’d like to offer consultations outside of that timeframe, let’s talk!

Other health and wellness practitioners are also welcome. We've had massage therapists, yoga instructors, and reiki practitioners in the past and would love to offer those services again.

We also need volunteers to provide legal counsel and to help with fund development, marketing, technology, events, and administrative/clerical projects. If you have something you would like to offer, give us a call.

MEANINGFUL WORK, MEANINGFUL CHANGE

This is what some of our past and present clients are saying about their experience here at

Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center:

“The Center is saving my life. I had nowhere to turn when I lost my job. The wonderful staff are helping me put my life back together after the loss of a 33-year marriage, home, and the death of close family members. The kindness and generosity shared at the center is the foundation of my healing and new life.”

"Ever since I can remember, I wanted to die. Mental illness and depression have been with me my whole life. I thank God for Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center. I know that as a result of this program I am here today and not dead or really messed up. I’m in more control of my life."

“You all are amazing, and your work is life-changing! I think the person I was when I started at Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center would be surprised but proud of the person I am today because of you."

"Administration and staff are awesome. They talk to me like a person, always friendly and open to chat a bit, and make the whole
going-to-therapy as unstressful as could be managed. It's like getting a shot. Nothing can make that ’un-icky,’ but having friendly
folks involved makes it not a bad experience to get through. I am grateful for the staff and the community I feel when I am there."

"You folks really listen. Not only my counselor but all the staff. I am scared of most people and this makes me reticent to even ask for help because I am afraid, because of trauma, that talking to others will get me hurt.  All of you simply listen, and for me, that makes getting help possible at all. Thank you."

"Only mad I didn’t reach out sooner. Such a welcoming environment...it has been very comfortable and professional"

"I am so blessed to have found Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center! Everyone I’ve come in contact with have been absolutely wonderful. Thank you all!"

"I am eternally grateful to all who have helped me from Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center"
