PROGRAMS & OFFERINGS

CLINICAL CARE

If you need counseling and you are either uninsured or unable to afford the cost of appointments, we can help. If you are unsure about whether you qualify, just give us a call. We’ll be happy to help you figure out what you need and who can help you. If you are eligible for our services, we’ll schedule you for an evaluation appointment with our director. We’ll get to know you, you’ll get to know us, and we’ll develop a care plan together. You’ll then be linked with one of our therapists and, if needed, we'll help you find a psychiatrist. And if you need support with issues related to housing, employment, social services, or other challenges we can refer you to people and agencies that can help with those concerns as well.

PEER SUPPORT MEETINGS

Peer support plays an important role in wellness for many people.

Every Wednesday, our volunteers offer coffee, tea, and a safe place to heal and grow. In The Living Room, peers create a nonjudgmental space in which to share their struggles, offer encouragement and exchange coping strategies. Folks bring problems ranging from parenting dilemmas to pain from past abuse, to living with a diagnosable mental illness. In the Living Room, relationships are built on mutuality and respect. Come when you can; stay as long as you want.

GROUPS

Periodically we offer different types of groups with topics such as grief, living with adult ADHD, overcoming childhood sexual abuse, and more. New groups are offered as the need arises.

The groups are a safe place to learn about themes surrounding mental health and healing.

Group offerings will be posted on this site, our Facebook page and sent out to our email subscribers. (If you would like to receive email updates from our center, email contactmentalhealth@spirituschristi.org and ask to be added)

As with all our offerings, there is no cost to participants.

YOGA FOR OVERALL WELLNESS

We offer weekly yoga sessions to help individuals gain strength and flexibility,

and to relieve stress and physical pain.
